Update on previous review
To update everyone on my previous review: I received my replacement Magholder for my Mod-2 today. As expected, the retention works perfectly. Snaps into place, and I gave it several vigorous shakes with a full mag with no failure of the retention. Thanks again, Magholder for standing by your products. 5 star product. 10 star staff.

GREAT MAG HOLDER!!!!
I absolutely HATE vertical mag holders, and there are very few options for horizontal ones. I purchased this one for "Way of the Pistol" at Tactical Response, and after 5 days of hard use, all I can say is that I am VERY impressed, and have added it to my EDC lineup. Great job on making a very high quality mag holder at a very fair price. the mag holder worked great with both 15 & 17 round Glock mags as well as 15 & 17 rounds Magpul glock mags (BTW don't waste your money on Magpul Glock Mags!!!) I did knock off 1 star for the finishing of the holder, it did have some sharp(ish) edges that were uncomfortable rubbing on my skin if I did not have a shirt tucked in under it, but these were easily cleaned up in about 5 minutes with the file on my swiss army knife. I will be ordering another one for my 10mm Glock mags!

Awesome product, better customer service
The first Magholder I bought was for my Sig Sauer. It’s well built, comfortable, and easily concealed. As summer approached, I decided to get one for my Springfield Mod-2. Same as the Sig, it’s well built, comfortable, and easily concealed. The problem was, the retention didn’t work. The mag wouldn’t go deep enough into the Magholder to allow the retention to grab the mag. I sent an email to the customer service department, and promptly got a response. We talked back and fourth over the next few days, trying to convey what the issue was. After several emails, and a phone call, the amazing folks at Magholder had the issue figured out, and tossed a new Magholder for my Mod-2 in the mail. I have become a life long costumer. They not only have awesome products, but they stand by them, and are willing to correct any issues. That type of service is disappearing in this day and age. It’s nice to have a company that values it’s costumers. Thank you Magholder.

Looking backwards, the benefits of a mag work horizontal seems so basic. It a wonder why this wasn't done by someone sooner... I am very happy with not only the design and but the quality of of this product. Well done! I will be ordering more for sure.

Good mag pouch
The magholder is well made and perfect for carrying a spare mag concealed. I’m very happy that the magholder holds the magazine very tightly especially because it’s horizontally carried. I intend to buy additional magholders for mags to other concealed carry firearms.

Finally!! I love this
I use to carry on duty with horizontal pull to the rear mag pouch and the vertical ones always dig into my hips. this is definitely worth the price and you wont regret it only criticism: I personally had to shave the edges down where it contact my hip skin when conceal carrying. That just me, i didnt like the sharp 90°angle that it comes with. but its simple fix of little sand paper and 30 seco

Best mag holder hands down
This is the ONLY mag holder I will use. The horizontal style is SO much more comfortable than vertical. Not only is it a more natural movement, but orientation is perfect for a quick mag change. I have bursitis in my shoulder and having to raise my arm up high enough to clear the holder is hard for me to do, this mag holder doesn't do that. AND it doesn't poke you when you move or sit down. Also, there is no printing under a 'T'. The quality is excellent and the service is quick and efficient. Do yourself a favor and try one. You will be hooked right off the bat.

Just as promised
The holder is perfect. Leave’s very little imprint on clothing. Holds the magazine securely and the rearward draw is easier and more instinctive. Going to get more for my other guns. Wish they had holders for the 1911’s.

Great mag holder
I love these mag holders. They keep a spare mag right where you need it without poking you in the spare tire. The mags lock in and won’t fall out even with strenuous activity. The price on these mag carriers is in line or even cheaper that other name brand mag carriers that hold the mags upright, making them uncomfortable to wear. I really like the fact that they can be positioned just about anywhere along your waist line, even in the “opposite direction” just by flipping the carrier upside down. The belt clips are solid and really hold on to your belt. I have bought several of these mag carriers for different guns and even bought a couple as gifts for my sons. I would definitely recommend these mag carriers to my friends and family.

Works great
This works great. I am a bit larger, and mag holders that sit vertical are not comfortable. These Magholders were recommended to carry "Scout style" on a Facebook group, and for the cost, why not? I carry in the 11 o'clock position to draw with my support hand, and it works perfectly. And better yet, it doesn't dig into my belly. I've carried it for a couple of weeks, and retention is good so far. We will see how it does after some time, considering it is only held in by friction.

Like the comfort
I like the design of this mag holder fitting horizontally on my belt instead of vertical. It is a bit stiff but find that a good feature since a horizontal mag could easily fall out if not snug. Yes, I can fit 2 or 3 other mag holders in the same space but I rarely have more than one extra mag and I appreciate how this mag holder is more comfortable when sitting and does not dig into my side.

Good but on the verge of Great
I purchased the Magholder for my Glock 19 just so that I have an extra magazine on me at all times. Bought this product because I liked the design and the reviews were great. Upon receiving the Magholder, the retention was much too strong. I had to break it in a but with some dry fire drills. The stiff retention makes it hard to remove the magazine from the holster and causes the entire holster to shift/move along your belt. After several reps the retention loosened but still isn’t perfect. I’m able to keep the holster from shifting by placing it near a belt loop. I use it for duty as a plainclothes detail and its very comfortable and basically little to no time adjusting for the draw. It’s near perfect especially for the price.I just wish the retention was adjustable and the stippling in the back be replaced with an imbedded rubberized material which I believe would help the holster from shifting. All in all, I think its a good magazine holster. Great idea and design just lacking in a few areas keeping it from being a great!

I had to make some minor adjustments to the retention tabs that hold the magazine in place but all is good. I would recommend this product for people looking to carry their spare magazine horizontally instead of vertically. Customer service was excellent.

Good Mag holder
Retired NYPD here. I bought the spare mag holder for my Ruger LCP Max. The holder is well made. The mags fit nicely. I recommend this for those who want to carry a spare mag.

Ready to order a third
I have ordered two of these one for my hellcat one for my sig p938 and getting ready to order one for my Kimber custom ultra Carry 1911. By far the most comfortable way I have found to carry a spare mag. I have tried other horizontal carriers of the elastic type but these are superior! Easy on easy off.

At Last
A mag carrier that doesn't poke me in the side, goes on/off my belt easily and protects the top round. I appreciate the quick access and the ability to "re-holster" the magazine. Bought one for the 9EZ, too.

Best EDC Magazine Pouch I've used by far!
First and foremost the horizontal position of this pouch is fantastic! No more vertical pokes in the side while bending. Very comfortable and holds my Sig Sauer magazines firmly, no worry of it falling out. Depending on my EDC for the day, I even use two of the pouches at a time! Great product that I highly recommend!

Nearly perfect..
Waited for a while for this product to be produced and released. Finally ordered one last week. Once it arrived, I tried it on and tried it out. And this is where the review comes in.... The pouch fits well, wears well and feels well, but the retention ability of this pouch is lacking. A simple and light flick of the wrist is sufficient to fully remove the empty magazine from its housing. I can imagine how much less effort it would require to dislodge a full 10mm mag. Not sure if this is due to a lack of proper purchase area, such as the magazine catch, or just due to the stainless steel body of the Springfield magazines. This flaw aside, this product from Magholder is otherwise a fine one. I own another one for a Glock, and, while a wrist flick can also dislodge this one, much more effort is required. 4/5 stars.

Perfect for my needs
I carry a Glock 29 using the Glock 20 magazine Xgrip. Carrying two magazines' vertically it a rib roast! I had a big blister the 1st day. I looked over dozens of different types of horizontal magazine holders and I went with the Magholder. It's perfect for me. Less weight and better concealment. The magholder is high quality and I made the right choice.

Great Product
I was a little leery of carrying the mag horizonal, but my fears were put to rest when I heard the positive "click" of the magazine being locked into place. The spare magazine is handy and easy to access and what a comfort being horizonal. None of the pain of taller magazines poking you in the side when sitting or catching on car doors. Absolute comfort....I went right back and bought another one for one of my other carry firearms and looking to buy more. Gone are the days of leather pouches and uncomfortable horizonal kydex. 3rd model, have seen changes, still love it
Bought one almost 4 years ago for my shield, bought one for a double stack M&P 2 years ago, came to the website because the shield plus isn't listed on amazon and bought my 3rd model. have loved every single one, comfortable is an under statement. Pulling the mag from the holster feels natural in any position, I wear it at 11 O'clock. It doesn't get in the way during any task I've done including working on cars. I have worn it during 10+ hour car rides and forget it is there. I'm not a small guy by any means and even with the beer gut it's fantastic.

Perfect for the appendix carrying “big guy”
I’m a bigger guy and I carry AIWB. Vertical mag holsters don’t work with my gut, I’d have to carry them at 3:30 or 4:00. This mag holder rides perfect with my belt line and my belly isn’t bothered.

Does the job, but does it well
I prefer these type of horizontal magazine holders over any other. I have these for several other pistols and this review should serve for all of them. The retention on this holder is absolute. The only way the magazine comes out is if you mean for it to. I have had one of these for a larger pistol for several years and it has seen an extreme amount of use with no loss of retention. These are bar none the best holders for spare magazines for those of us who conceal carry. It is easier to get to the magazine and put it to use, even in several layers of clothing, when the magazine is held horizontally. Thank you magholder for making this superior product.

Great customer service!
I ordered two Magholders, one for Glock mags and one for a Sig p365. Glock holder was perfect but Sig p365 mag holder was too tight. I emailed customer service and they sent a replacement right away and the replacement was perfect.

Great idea
This is a great product and works well for my usage. It holds magazines securely and in my required configuration. One suggestion, if this could have some curvature so that it fits naturally at the hip, that would put this over the top for me.

There’s No Competition
My third Magholder. Hands down the best magazine holder, period. The ergonomics of these are worth training for. And, yes, you must train and train and train some more. The draw naturally positions the magazine for a perfect reload. This particular one does hold on to my magazine just a tad tighter than I would like, but nothing I would poo poo, that’s for sure. And nothing a little holster lube can’t fix. Definitely beats the alternative!

Best mag holster period
Tried my mag holster, wasted many dollar on different models until i found magholder. What i like best of it is the natural way of removing the full mag from holster and inserting it into the gun, no hand turning, gun always on target as inserting full mag on weapon. Easy concealment under shirt no printing and for big belly guys like me no rubbing or scratching on skin, durable materials and affordable price.

Awesome magazine storage
Horizontal and in position to retrieve, and load into your magazine well. One smooth motion exactly the way it should be. Room for the indexing finger, the magazine removes easily but is firmly seated until you need it. I can’t be happier with this product. The design team came up with a non-conventional approach and it works!

Comfortable!
I'm a little on the heavy side and a with a vertical mag holder the mag digs into my side, even with the lowest capacity mag I have. However with the horizontal mag holder I can carry the 21 rnd magazine with no discomfort at all. I was worried about printing, thought that isn't an issue here in Idaho. I can carry the mag over my left front pocket far enough around that there is no printing, and still have easy access to my pocket. This is a winner from all angles!

Glock 43
Fits well on my belt and horizontal placement makes it more comfortable to wear. It also helps to hide it. I did not receive the first one I ordered, but that was due to the postal service saying they delivered it, but I didn't receive it. No surprise that the postal service never got back to me on any of my inquiries. Magholder sent me another after they found out what happened.

Love it!
I wanted something horizontal. Saw it in magazine ad. This product clipped on my gun belt easily, holds solid, retains the mag very well with a spring steel tab. And best of all it concealed very well. Get this thing! It’s awesome! I got this for my support hand side open to the back. Love it.

Great spare mag holder!
Have only had this product a couple weeks now but so far I am really satisfied with this magazine carrier. The horizontal OWB design works great, keeps the spare mag secure and easy to retrieve when needed while being comfortable as well. I have tried two different pocket holders, a different kind of OWB holder and an IWB holder for my S&W Shield plus spare mag but this product is outstanding compared to the others I have used. Highly recommend this for people that carry often and need a great spare mag holder.

Best Mag Holders You'll Find

4 Years EDC 14 hours a day 7 days a week
Perfect extra mag holster. I have the original one I bought 4 years ago and still going strong. No signs of loosening or wear other than me beating the crap out of it working on cars on my stomach. Buy one. I have an backup I bought thinking I'd need it and haven't opened the package yet.

Excellent Product
I am delighted with this mag pouch for my P320. In my opinion, the horizontal method of carrying is so much more ergonomic for deployment of the spare magazine. The materials used are indestructible. My only gripe, and it's a minor one, is that this mag pouch really only works with nylon tactical belts because of how they are typically thinner than your leather gun belt. When worn at the 11:00 position for a left hand magazine draw, the clip clearance doesn't not allow for the overlap you get with a leather belt that has been buckled. Other than that, I am delighted with this pouch and will be ordering one for my Glock 43.

Great Product
These were recommended by a source I trust. I like that my magazine no longer pokes me in the side. It's also easy to conceal along the belt. It took a little practice to learn how to use it and put it on / take it off. The instructions said to expect "overtight" retention while it breaks in, but I haven't noticed a problem. I would be curious to see a version for two spare magazines or a recommendation on how to make that work.

I wasn't sure about a horizontal mag holder since I have only owned vertical ones both IWB and OWB. But after using the one I got for my SW Shield Plus, I'm sold on the product and will only purchase from MagHolder for all my guns. Great product and great job MagHolder!!

PPS M2
I was happy to see walther PPS mag holders available. However I have a M2 variant. I talked to the customer service person at mag holder and decided to give the M1 version a try. The M1 version works just fine with the PPS M2 magazines. I have used the 6,7, & 8 round magazines and it works just fine.

Great mag carrier and great customer service
Just received my mag holder. At first I was bummed that there was no listing for the Taurus GX4, so I contacted Mag holder support. They responded quickly and advised me that they believed the mag holder for the G2 would fit the GX4, and if I purchased it, they would give me a refund if it didn't work. I took the chance, and sure enough, it works perfectly. Kudos to MagHolder for answering emails quickly and getting that straightened out. The MagHolder works great and is a very comfortable way to carry and extra mag, as well as a quick way to dept that mag if I need it. Here's hoping I never do.

I can't say enough good things about this company and their products. If you need a mag holder (who doesn't?) look no further. This is the best carry product I've ever purchased. Great retention, concealment, durability, functionality. Seriously, nothing else compares. And this company stands behind their products 100%. Many companies say they do, but these guys DO!!! I had crack in the back part of the belt clip (after almost 8 years of daily use and the didn't hesitate to honor their lifetime warranty. They work and are very concealable
I’ve had and used Magholders for my spare magazines now for over 8 years! Originally I got Glock 19 Magholders, and carried them off-duty as a federal officer. Then I ordered some for my 1911s, smaller Glocks (43), and most recently for my 43X. They work, are very concealable, and I only lost one magazine one time cutting trees and brush in my yard when it fell out somewhere and I didn’t notice. Otherwise, in a very active lifestyle as a pilot, Hunter, and outdoorsman in Alaska Magholders have not failed me. I recommend them highly, and the customer service is also top notch!

High Quality Product
I had been looking for a horizontal mag carrier for quite a while before finding Magholder. I even had one custom made by a local holster maker. Even that doesn't hold a candle to the Magholder product. The retention is perfect and stays secure no matter what I am doing. The dual belt loops/hooks hold the carrier securely on the belt while still allowing me to move the carrier around if needed. As a bigger guy I prefer to have as much of my EDC oriented horizontally on my belt as possible to minimize it sticking into me. I feel this is a great option to carry a spare mag without it being obtrusive.

Great product, great service
I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and strength of the belt clips on the two different models I purchased (SigSauer P229 and SigSauer P365). I practiced reloading using empty guns and magazines and found that there was just the right amount of tension keeping the magazines secure, but not too tight when drawing to reload. Excellent product.

Outstanding Product!!
I have used the Magholder products for at least the last five years or longer. I have used the Glock double stack, Glock G43, and now the SiG P365 & P320 Magholders. They all work great as advertised. The only way to carry a horizontal mag in the most durable and compact holder I have ever found. They hold securely and I haven't worn one out yet like previous leather/plush etc holders.

My Magholder works great. I ended up breaking one of the clips by my own negligence, but Magholder sent me a new clip for my broken Magholder anyways.

This product is strong and rigid
This product is strong and rigid. Perfect for that cross draw in competition or backup while hiking! Its rigid feel gives comfort knowing it won't break under pressure. A good product for a decent price.

Best Horiz Mag Holder
I have several of them now and really like them--you don't really notice them on your belt. They ride tight and firm, but do take some breaking in if you have a thick belt. easy way to carry spare mags and have them ready to ue.

I highly recommend this product
I have had a Magholder for my Glock for several years. It has served me very well. With the purchase of a Hellcat, I knew that I had to have a Magholder for this one. They are are comfortable & make removal & return of the magazine extremely easy.

Best tool for conceal carry
Magholder is the best tool for conceal carry that I have ever purchased. I have been using them for years.. What I like most about horizontal magazine holders is easy access and comfort while driving my car or riding my Harley. Right after buying my first one for my belt, I decided to buy another one for my spare magazine that I keep in my center console. When needed, I just grab my spare Magholder, clip it on my belt and go.

Unmatched quality and service
I have been using Magholder products for many years and for many different models. There is nothing like them on the market anywhere. If you want to carry an extra magazine, want it to be held securely in place but easy to access, want it to be comfortable and want it to blend into your waistline, this what you need. I love my new P365 magholder
You know why I love my new P365 magholder? At first, I thought the new style looked dumb, with the 2 clips, because I have so many of the first style. But the update with 2 clips is awesome because of how it works with my clothes! For many of my pants and shorts I had to position my belt buckle on the left side, past the first belt loop to make room for the magholder at the front. But the new style allows me to straddle the front, right belt loop with a clip to its left and a clip to it's right. I dont have to reposition my belt buckle any more! Yay! I was wrong and your new design is AMAZING! Thanks!

Works Just Right!
I bought the Magholder for the Kahr CW380 and it works perfectly. The magazine is pretty small, therefore the Magholder is small as well, which only serves to make this mag carrier conceal very well. The magazines for the Kahr P380 and CW380 are supposed to be the same size (to my knowledge) so this carrier should work for either. I really do like this, as carrying a horizontal magazine holder (as opposed to vertical) is (to me) much much more comfortable, because the magazine just runs parallel with your belt, instead of poking a muffin top or love handle ... just saying. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's not an overly complicated piece of gear, but it doesn't seem to be junk either. Just clip it on your belt, insert magazine, and carry on.

Excellent Mag holder
This is by far the best CCW belt mag holder. Sitting horizontally on the belt; it doesn't jab you and (in my opinion) puts the spare mag in perfect position for a mag change from the weak side (left in my case as a right-handed shooter). I have one each for my Sig P365 and Glock 43X; I'm ordering one today for my Sig Ultra 1911. The mag "clicks" into place and takes a bit of a tug to come free; but you want good retention. With practice it becomes automatic. Highly recommend them

This is the best mag holder I have ever used. The horizontal orientation just blends in with the belt and doesn't print. I honestly don't even feel anything when I'm wearing it. I've tried vertical holders and they always seem to dig into my side, especially when seated. Another aspect that I really appreciate is that when drawing the mag it's a much more natural movement, versus vertical. It's easier to draw standing or seated and I don't have to rotate the mag 180 degrees to align it with the pistol. I am conflicted, though. As these become more popular I hope it won't be too difficult to acquire one! Thx for a GREAT product.

One of the BEST accessories a CCW owner should own
It's been a while since I received my magholder. To refresh your memory I have the Xds-9 and was the one that has surgical on my lower torso that prevents me from carrying the traditional vertical holders. I was also the one that you sent a replacement to because the first Holder didn't retain the mag and it fell while in church. What a show stopper that was... anyway,, you sent a new improved holder (had what looks like a rivet along the top) I told you I would report back. Sorry for the delay, I just completed my 103rd Chemo treatment, so things have been busy. I just wanted to let you know that I carry your magholder every day I'm out and I am so pleased with it... retention much improved, comfortable, I don't even know it's there.. Standing, sitting, bending over, not to mention much more concealable. I believe it's one of the BEST accessories a CCW owner should own. Well worth the investment... It still holds the mags as tight as it did on day one.... Now if you can build a Holster for the firearm that's just as comfortable.. :) Congratulations on a JOB WELL DONE !!!! I can’t say enough about your mag holders
Mark,Received the holders and used the XD one all weekend, loved it, can’t believe how comfortable it was to carry a double stack mag and not even know it was there! Held very securely and didn’t shift around on my belt. I did all kinds of outdoor chores getting the place ready for winter (ie..bending, lifting, carrying things) and never once was there any discomfort like with a vertical holster. I even tried a leather horizontal mag carrier once but the retention was poor and I was always afraid of losing it. I can’t say enough about your mag holders. I will carry my 1911 a lot more since I have a good way of carrying extra ammo now. The only suggestion I could make would be to advertise in some of the major gun magazines. I discovered your product in a review article in a “Personal Defense” magazine, otherwise I have never seen any adds for you holders and I think everyone should know about them.Again, thanks for a great product and I hope you come out with a XD 45 holder soon!

They work great

I received the two MagHolders for my CZ mags last week and they work great! I have 14rd 9mm mags for the P-01, 16rd mags for the 75b/SP-01 and 18rd mags for the SP-01. The MagHolders grab the magazines nicely and only release when purposefully pulled on. Ultimately, the business end of each of those magazines is exactly the same so its no surprise that the MagHolders fit all of them, but I figured I would share that anyways. I plan on doing a few different training days in the next few months where they will see some serious action and I’m looking forward to putting them through their paces

The retention is really good
The MagHolders arrived yesterday. They fit my S&lW 3913 and CS9 stainless factory mags perfectly!I’ve actually had the L-side unit on ever since they arrived. I really like it. Not only is it much more rapidly accessible than my usual mag carry method of a vertical knife case with a velcro flap, but I hardly notice that I’m wearing it. The grippy checkered pattern on the back keeps it from sliding around and the retention is really good. On a couple of my really smooth surface model 39 magazines (which are compatible with my 3913s and CS9s), I could probably shake the mag out, but I don’t use those for everyday carry so that doesn’t bother me.After trying both L/R versions, I probably won’t use the R-side carry as much as L-side, but the product itself is great. Nice work!In addition to daily carry, I’m planning to use the L-side unit at my next USPSA match and my crew will undoubtedly want to know where I got it, so I will let them know about your site.Again, I like it a lot. …Thanks!

I totally dig mine
I totally dig mine, it turned out to be better than I thought it would be. The overall size really isn’t an issue, the issue was belt size. I wear mine with a 2″ Blackhawk gun belt and it works fine. It slides right off if I need to remove it but the texturing on the side next to the body gives it plenty of retention. I like that just in case I have to go into someplace that I can’t carry.

This thing is built right and is super easy to conceal
I got my Magholder two days ago. I love the fit and feel of it. I took it out to try some mag changes and it was slick! I never notice it on me. My favorite part of the purchase was the awesome customer service. Mark stayed in contact with me through email and even helped me with my order when I had no idea what I was doing. LOL He suggested wearing it a way that at the time I couldn’t even envision. But I trusted his advise and he was right. This thing is built right and is super easy to conceal. It was better than I had hoped it would be. It works well with my Black Mamba IWB holster.
